APEX XC APEX XK APEX PK APEX Walking

Our advanced multi-functional rig design offers the most efficient rig moves and walks in the industry. The Advanced Box-On-Box substructure centralizes hydraulic systems by housing the integrated waking system, HPU, and accumulator enhancing move efficiency and reducing truck loads during transport. The top drive and traveling block are housed within the two-section mast, eliminating the time associated with rigging up and down the top drive, and further reducing loads. This rig is specifically designed for multi-well pads and extended reach horizontals.

While on multi-well pads, the APEX-XK 1500® rig offers an increased operational efficiency with an open design at ground-level around the substructure, and greater movement and clearance over wellheads and other structures on the pad. The APEX-XK 1500® rig is suitable for perpendicular or parallel rig up orientations.

From the dedicated shipping skid for the mast, to the unified skids for the solids control equipment, the APEX-XK 1500® rig was designed to improve move times between locations. With the top drive and block remaining in the mast during transit, the hydraulic cylinders raise (and lower) the mast during rig up operations.

The APEX® PK Box-on-Box design promotes efficient moving operations with the top drive remaining in the mast during transport, and a hydraulic system capable of moving the mast, substructure, and the walking system. The APEX® PK is equipped with cutting edge AC drilling technology and an innovative operating system enhancing the driller's ability to control the drilling operations, improving results in harsh drilling conditions.

Our APEX WALKING® rig is designed for multi-well pad drilling programs. The Box-on-Box structural design increases on-pad mobility and improves safety during operations. The rig's capabilities also improve on-bottom performance, reduce non-productive time, and improve overall performance efficiency.
